We had Wesley’s belated 3 year old paw patrol birthday party and my mom’s 65th! We went to the Kohler resort in Kohler, WI, for a mom and sisters weekend. It was awesome. Beautiful inside and out. Also before and after pics of Conor’s head wound. He fell off the couch when he was sword fighting with Elliott… while I cooked dinner for Natalie while jordan was out of town. Thankfully our awesome neighbor is a nurse and she came to help.

A busy at-home evening with homework (all about me for conor and math for Elliott) and seven-player game night (Apples to Apples).  And loving gazing at Leroy who is expecting a cousin to arrive any day (Miles will keep his frog at our house so they can be besties).

I’m cleaning up the miscellaneous piles of stuff by our laundry room and have come across some gems. One was basically Conor’s first report card – a bit of a mixed bag. Jordan just gave him a C- after reading this.

“Conor has settled into the preschool schedule well. He is always willing to engage in activities and is flexible with transitions or changes. We are working on behavior, specifically using materials appropriately and respecting others bodies and belongings. Conor has also made great progress at meals times by sitting safely and using his utensils.”

First Day of School Pictures!

Natalie is in 6th grade – her first day of middle school! She has 7 different teachers. And, she opened her locker on her first trip. She is in basketball (through school), soccer and ballet.

Elliott is in 4th grade – his first time in a school without Natalie since Montessori (PreK). He seems less affected by that change this time around. 😉  He is playing football – on the Bears again. (I bought my first Bears t-shirt – at least it was on sale.) I think he will do wrestling, chess, and tennis later this year. He tried piano but doesn’t love it.
The group pictures seem to be part of a Barrington tradition of donuts before school the first day.

Conor is in PreK at St. Anne’s, a nearby Catholic school. Surprisingly, he has not fought wearing the polo shirts!  And thankfully, loveys are welcome at school. I think he can walk in with them and then put them in his cubby.  He is signed up for tot soccer this fall too.

A big thanks to G&G and N&P who each watched Conor for two afternoons since he started out with half days.

G and G both retired in May!! Nog big parties… but a trip with our family of 5 is the gift  after spending the weekend with us, I’m not sure it’s a gift they will want  just kidding! But our house is pretty busy 🙂  congrats Mom and Dad on a long time of working  I still remember when my dad got his job with the county and I thought he looked like a police officer in his navy work clothes  and lots of visits to moms work over the years – including going in on a Saturday where she typed my Notre Dame application very precisely  I thought that would look better than handwritten!!
