San Diego

We planned a trip to San Diego as a post-surgery adventure to look forward to. It didn’t disappoint. Highs are between 66 and 77 year round with a couple days of rain a month. What’s not to love?

The ocean was a few degrees warmer than usual for October so the boys could wave jump. The ocean was right outside our hotel room. Conor talked Jordan into an upgrade at the upgraded room which included a table for an epic Monopoly game and a large bathroom which was helpful for Jordan’s morning work while Elliott “slept in” (to 730) and Conor watched show.

Elliotts favorite was swimming with the seals and sea lions in children’s cove on La Jolla. I even saw one purposely splash him with his flipper.

Conor’s fav part of the trip was Legoland especially the new galaxy ride. The kids didn’t like the Lego hotel nearly as much as we thought they would. It was much tinier and was missing nice touches. We liked the dance party in the elevator but Elliott suggested they have life size Lego mugs in the dining area for example.

We missed Natalie of course and are looking forward to having her home for Thanksgiving  Check below for a photo of how Conor was thinking of her
